Uncle Sams Braus Haus, a diner located at 8820 US-1 in Suite #106, was shut down for 24 hours by a health inspector for rodents in Micco, Florida.
On Mar. 14, 2023, the Florida health inspector responded to a public complaint about the diner and found various rodent droppings.
According to the inspection, the inspector observed approximately 20 to 30 rodent droppings in the water heater storage area on the floor.
The inspector observed approximately 25 to 30 roach droppings in the kitchen on the floor around a cabinet next to a hand-washing sink. There were also about 80 to 90 inside empty cabinet drawers.
Then, along the cook line, the inspector observed 5 more rodent droppings on a slicer cart and 15 more behind the floor and behind a cooler.
The diner also had:
- A black/green mold-like substance in the interior of the ice machine.
- A hole in the wall under the pipes next to the water heater.
- A cutting board at the cook line was soiled in residue.
On Mar. 15, 2023, the inspector reopened Uncle Sams after finding no violations at the diner.
