The Indian River Firefighters Benevolent Association is hosting its 3rd Annual Offshore Fishing Tournament benefiting Captains For Clean Water on Saturday, June 8, 2024 – Lines-In at 6:00 am. Everyone is welcome to attend the Weigh-In from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Sebastian Saltwater Marina.

Dedicated to aiding their fellow firefighters and their community, the association prioritizes the health of the local lagoon. This commitment has led to a partnership with Captains For Clean Water, which focuses on conserving our waterways. The tournament aims to elevate awareness about the ecological state of the lagoon and nearby waters, which are crucial to the well-being of the County. 

The focus of this event is to raise awareness of the current state of our lagoon and surrounding waters. This Ecosystem is a vital part of the County we live in, and maintaining/restoring it is important to our community.

Boat Captain Registration

The entry fee is $250 per boat, and all captains must attend the Captain’s Meeting at Sebastian Saltwater Marina on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 5:30 pm. Click here to register!

The Indian River Firefighters Benevolent Association is a nonprofit 501[c]3 charity organization established in 2012 to support the health, safety, and welfare of the Indian River Firefighting Community. The organization offers financial, emotional, and physical support to over 250 members and their families in need. 

Captains for Clean Water

Captains For Clean Water is a 501(c)3 nonprofit grassroots organization dedicated to protecting and restoring our water resources. By advancing science-based solutions, their efforts center on raising awareness and educating the public, empowering individuals to advocate for water quality, and demanding accountability from elected officials.

The organization has successfully rallied environmental groups, the outdoor industry, the business sector, and concerned citizens around these pivotal ecological challenges. This collaboration has increased participation in the fight for clean water and accelerated progress. Despite these advances, there is still much to be done, and continued support is essential.
