Woofstock 2024: Celebrating Senior Dogs with H.A.L.O. No-Kill Rescue

H.A.L.O. No-Kill Rescue is set to hold Woofstock at Pareidolia Brewing Company

H.A.L.O. No-Kill Rescue is set to hold Woofstock at Pareidolia Brewing Company, located at 712 Cleveland St., on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. They will be raising funds for its senior dogs. The event will feature live music by HairPeace, a chance to meet adoptable dogs, exciting raffles, delicious beer, and food.

This event is dedicated to supporting senior pets, often overlooked, by raising funds to provide them with comprehensive medical care upon arrival; this includes senior-specific bloodwork, urinalysis, dental care, and treatment for existing conditions, helping them lead a full life and making it easier for new families to adopt them.

The Doug McDowell Memorial Fund will double the impact of your donation by matching all contributions made during the event. If you can’t attend, you can still support the cause by donating online.

Some of the beneficiaries of Woofstock 2024

Gandolf

Gandolf, nearing 12 years old, is managing well with thyroid and kidney disease thanks to his diet and medication. This endearing senior, recognizable by his sweet grey face and distinctive ears, has been at the shelter for over 800 days. He is eagerly waiting for a family to provide him with a cozy bed he can call his own. As he prefers being an only pet, Gandolf won’t be at the event, but he is always ready for a meet-and-greet at HALO No-Kill Rescue Shelter. Consider fostering or adopting.

Jake

Jake, who is 14 years old, is battling arthritis and severe dental issues. He’s currently on antibiotics to reduce his infection before undergoing surgery. Additionally, Jake is scheduled for a much-needed grooming session to spruce him up. He’s looking forward to making his debut at the upcoming event.

Amaletha

Amaletha, believed to be around 12 years old, was rescued from the streets in a dire state, suffering from severe skin and eye infections, emaciation, rear-end lameness, and extensive dental decay. After five weeks of intensive care, she is now on the mend and looking forward to a much-needed spa day. Amaletha is eagerly awaiting her adoption debut at Woofstock.
