There are now 11 confirmed coronavirus cases in Indian River County, health officials said. Brevard County, the next county north of Sebastian, now has 9 confirmed coronavirus cases.

There is one patient being hospitalized in the county. We do not know the cities of where these patients are from, as the health department will not release this information at this time.

Out of the 11 patients, only 1 was not a resident in Indian River County. There are four men, and seven women. Six of the cases are travel-related.

There are no deaths in the county at this time caused by COVID-19.

The average age in the Indian River County cases so far is 59. Right now, all patients are between 25 and 84 years of age.

Florida now has 1,412 active coronavirus cases and 17 deaths. About 1,237 people are being monitored in the state of Florida at this time.

About 13,127 Floridians tested negative for coronavirus. There are 1,008 cases still pending.

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is now offering testing for coronavirus in Indian River County. They are providing drive-through testing by appointments from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. To make an appointment, call the hospital at 772-226-4846.
