Scouting for Food

Scouting for Food

The Boy Scouts of America Indian River County Food Drive is underway. Last weekend IRC residents received plastic bags to fill with non-perishable items for local food banks.

They will be retracing their tracks on Saturday, November 14, 2020, to pick up your food donations. Please place non-perishable food in a visible location outside of your home before 8:00 am. The donations will usually be delivered directly to the local food banks the same day.

Where to Donate?

If you did not receive a flyer/bag and would like to donate, please take your non-perishable items to the Sebastian Winn Dixie or the North County Library, both located on 512/Sebastian Blvd, in Sebastian.

 Scouting for Food

“Scouting for Food” was started in 1985 by the Greater Saint Louis Area Council. Now, it is organized at a local level throughout the United States. Scouting for Food will be the largest food drive in Indian River County.
