Wesley Davis, serving as Indian River County’s Property Appraiser since January 2019, has been re-elected for another term after facing no opposition in the 2024 election, the Supervisor of Elections office confirmed on Friday.

This marks his second consecutive unopposed election, first assuming the role unchallenged in 2020.

“Thank you for once again entrusting me to serve you and Indian River County as your Property Appraiser,” Davis expressed in a post on his Facebook account. He added, “Tonya and I are honored to continue to serve our community. I will continue my commitment to faithfully execute the duties you have entrusted in me every single day.”

Known affectionately to community members as “Wesley,” Davis has spearheaded a campaign to update and modernize the Property Appraiser’s office. His tenure has seen significant improvements in efficiency and community outreach, incorporating advanced technology to enhance information accessibility, tightening security, and establishing a team dedicated to delivering superior customer service to the residents of Indian River County.

Under his leadership, despite rapid growth in property values and an influx of new residents, Davis and his professional team have consistently provided fair and complete property valuations, meeting and exceeding expectations by delivering these services accurately, on time, and under budget. This efficiency has enabled the Property Appraiser’s office to return over $2 million in unspent funds back to the County Commission, aiding in taxpayer relief.

“We are all trying to get by, and I think the government should do its part. We are always looking for new and better ways to do more with less. I am truly honored to continue to serve you as Indian River County Property Appraiser,” Davis stated.

He concluded with a reminder to residents that his office remains ready to assist: “As always, if you need assistance, remember, to tell ’em Wesley sent me.”

Davis’s re-election and the accomplishments of his office highlight a commitment to public service and fiscal responsibility, reflecting his ongoing dedication to the residents of Indian River County.
